Sulfuric acid, H₂SO₄, and potassium hydroxide, KOH reaction is called neutralization and results to the formation of salt and water through the chemical equation,
H₂SO₄ + KOH --> K₂SO₄ + H₂O
The chemical reaction can be balanced through the multiplying the compounds by a numerical coefficient to achieve equal number of atoms of certain element on the left-hand side and right-hand side of the equation.
H₂SO₄ + 2KOH --> K₂SO₄ + 2H₂O
The balancing of the equation can be checked if correctly done if the number of the atoms of the elements are equal.
