Tech is the creative use of science in problem-solving (response A). This is the innovation of approaches used to assist humanity in bettering its lot and finding ways to tackle questions that may not have been previously solvable. By using technology, humans can speed up processes that may have taken orders of magnitude more time to complete, if they could be completed at all.
