On average, we are able to remember about 20% of what we hear. This is according to Edgar Dale's Cone of Experience. He also indicated that we are only able to remember 10% of what we read, 30% of what we see. He also said that learning would be best through our own actions stating that we remember 70% of what we discuss with others, 80% of what we personally experience, and 95% of what we teach others.
