Sarah's recipe calls for 1 1/2 cups of mix to make 8 pancakes. If Sarah wants to make 12 pancakes, how many cups of mix would she need to use?

3.5 divided by 8 is .1875. That stands for how many cups of mix she uses for 1 pancake. Then, if you multiply it by 12,  you get 2.25 or 2 1/4 cups of mix.
