The answer is true. If you're multiplying exponents with like bases, you add the exponents together.
Example: 7⁵ · 7⁶ = 7¹¹
However, if you were to have a problem that has different bases, you'd multiply the base numbers first, then keep the exponent on your product.
Example: 9⁴ · 3⁴ = 27⁴
After getting your product, you need to "simplify" your answer.
27⁴ = 531, 441
