how is this history and she can just use a credit card that is linked to that account so that she can take the money out or she can just use the card to get the things that she wants.

If Ashley want's to make a purchase using the money in her checking account and wants to instantly and directly access these funds she should use a credit card because the credit card pulls out money immediately, while with a debit card, the bank pays, and you pay them back in the form of a bill.
