The scarcing of the resources of a small forest area is an indication that we might have already reached its carrying capacity. The carrying capacity is the amount or number of organisms that can be supported indefinitely or perpetually by the nature or of a given environment. Reaching that parameter means to say that the environment is no longer capable of supporting that number of species.
