Mega is likely liable for trespassing. It is because when an individual trespass on someone else’s property without the owner’s consent, the individual who had trespass would likely be liable or detained for trespassing on someone else’s property and can be charged based on the law.

Mega is not liable. Through the shopkeeper principle a business can use reasonable force to detain an individual who is committing a variety of things, one of which is trespassing. If the individual was just on their property or suspected of committing foul play with no evidence, this would potentially be a battery and/or assault liability.
