The sum of two numbers is 45. three times the larger number less two times the smaller number equals 35. determine the two numbers

let 2 numbers be x and y then:-

x + y = 45
3x - 2y = 35    Multiply first eqution by 2:-
2x + 2y = 90   Adding:-
5x + o = 125

x  = 25  
y = 45 - 25 = 20

Answer :- the 2 numbers are 25 and 20
