Electron was discovered by J. J. Thompson.
In the year 1887 J. J. Thompson
discovered the electron. All atoms are made up of a heavy nucleus and the
nucleus is surrounded by electrons. Electron is part of all matter that
surrounds us. J. J. Thompson received the Nobel Prize for his discovery of
electron in the year 1906. The electron is subatomic particles that have a
negative electric charge. The mass of an electron is approximately 1/1836 of a
proton.
J. J. Thompson discovered the electron. The electron has a negative charge. It is found around the nucleus in the orbital cloud.
