Centrioles are small sets of microtubules that are arranged specifically within the nucleus of the cell. They are not clearly visible within the cell because these organelles are only visible when they are helping the cell during the phases of cell division (mitosis and meiosis).
There are nine groups of microtubules that make-up centrioles. They are usually found in pairs and they move towards opposite pole ends of the nucleus when the cell is dividing. During the Interphase in cell division, centrioles duplicate.
