I really loved the woods by my house.The fluttering butterflies always seemed to calm me.The squirrels dashing on the tracks made them seem more interesting.The bad thing is,my father hates for me to go into the woods.When i came home,he was outraged and grounded me.My mother was making pancakes and listened in as he scolded me.After he was done,i quickly devoured my pancakes.I called my friend Andrew and told him to meet me by my window,which was by a large oak tree.I waited for his arrival.He appeared from around the tree and i tried to talk to him,but when my father came outside,he jumped into my window.My father soon scurried away and i told my friend i was grounded,so he kept me company by telling stories.He told me about how he snuck out to go near the old batting range.When he got home,his mother hustled to his door and opened it.She was furious.My friend then confessed that he snuck into the old batting range and his mom thanked him for his honesty,but was still disappointed.My friend went home and by hearing his story about being grounded, i didn't feel so bad anymore.
