False. They are separate two disciplines, one dealing with how words are created (morphology) and the second one dealing with how words are structured in a sentence (syntax).
A) True
Syntax and morphology refer to the same discipline in linguistics. They both together form the grammar.
The word morphology came from the latin morphe that means form and logos which means science so it could be translated to the science of the form. It study the intern structure of the words to define and classify them.
Syntax comes from the latin word syntaxis that means "with order" it teaches the coordination of the words on a sentence. The syntax study the context of the sentence, the relation of the words and its order.
We can say that the morphology study each word by its content and meaning while the syntax takes a wide vision to study the whole sentence and the relations between the words.
It´s a way to examine the grammar from different points of view but with the same objective. To determine the way it is used.
Another proof that they are both part of the same discipline is that sometimes share concepts to study, for example. When the morphology classified the words as parts of a sentence uses syntax concepts or when syntax establishes match rules it redefines the grammar adjustment system used in the morphology. It´s a reciprocal penetration which helps each one of the parts to get a better knowledge.
I hope this answer help you and clarify this problematic concepts. If there is any doubt don´t hesitate in asking again. If I can I would help you again with much pleasure, Regards.
