Respuesta :

1. China’s increased conflict with the Soviet Union over territory led China to work with the US.
2. Peace treaty reducing conflict where Israel withdrew from Sinai Peninsula and Egypt recognized Israel as a nation.

1- China decided to open relations with the United States after Nixon's multiple attempts because of China’s increased conflict with the Soviet Union over territory.

In the middle of the Cold War, the Sino-Soviet rupture favored the United States to establish relations with China (on the continent) and use it as a counterattack on the Soviet Union and its influence. It was not until after January 1979 that the US government changed recognition from Taipei to Beijing, as well as its diplomatic relations.

2- The Camp David Accords, led by President Carter, were a peace treaty reducing conflict where Israel withdrew from Sinai Peninsula and Egypt recognized Israel as a nation .

The Camp David Accords were signed by Egyptian President Anwar el-Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin on September 17, 1978, after twelve days of secret negotiations under the mediation of President Jimmy Carter, and through the which Egypt and Israel signed peace in the territorial conflicts between both countries.
