We have to convert moles to mass of carbon dioxide. We use the molar mass of carbon dioxide to convert moles to mass of [tex] CO_{2} [/tex]
Finding out the molar mass of [tex] CO_{2} [/tex]:
[tex] (1 * Molar mass of C) + (2 *Molar mass of O) [/tex]
[tex] (1 * 12 \frac{g}{mol}) + (2 * 16 \frac{g}{mol}) = 44 \frac{g}{mol} [/tex]
Converting 1.183 mol carbon dioxide to mass (g):
[tex] 1.183 mol CO_{2} * \frac{44 g CO_{2}}{1 mol CO_{2}} = 52.05 g CO_{2} [/tex]
