Sir Gawaine is loyal, honest and courteous.This reflects on society that that is how knights were expected to behave, or at least the noblest of them.
Macbeth has a bright impact on theatre in the common day. Bright is... not quite the word for it, as it's a gloomy shadow over theatrical art. It forecasts a future where politics has corrupted those who choose to see through the shattered eye of darkness.
