This declaration by both the leaders was called the Atlantic Charter.

It has often been described as a ''pivotal policy statement'' and was issued on the 14th of August 1941.

The Atlantic Charter also resulted in the 1942 Declaration by United Nation, paving the way for modern United Nations Organization as we know it today.
