Hello!
The equation we use to find the surface area of a cylinder is
[tex]2 \pi rh+2 \pi r^{2} [/tex]
r is the radius
h is the height
Put in the values we know
[tex]2 \pi (6)(12) + 2 \pi (6)^{2} [/tex]
Multiply the 2, 6 and 12
[tex]144 \pi +2 \pi 6^{2} [/tex]
Square the 6
[tex]144 \pi +2 \pi 36[/tex]
Multiply the 2 and 36
[tex]144 \pi +72 \pi [/tex]
Add
[tex]216 \pi [/tex]
The answer is A)[tex]216 \pi in^{2} [/tex]
Hope this helps!
