The leaves have fallen for a long time.

Cada año caen al suelo.

Every year they fall to the ground.

Cambian de verde a marrón,

They change from green to brown,

para emparejar los colores de las ramas de los árboles.

To match the colors of the tree branches.


Las hojas desean ser como su madre,

The leaves want to be like their mother,

marrón y plantado en la tierra.

Brown and planted on earth.

Las hojas han visto crecer a su madre cada año,  

The leaves have seen their mother grow every year,

más alto con cada día soleado.

Higher with every sunny day.


Las hojas saben madre comenzó en la tierra,

The leaves know mother began in dirt,

así que todo lo bueno debe venir de la tierra.

So all good must come from the earth


Cada año cuando las hojas caen,

Each year when the leaves fall,

dejan ir las ramas para ser como su madre.

They let go to be like their mother.
