Predict what you think would happen to your community if a drought occurred. Brainstorm how the physical (abiotic factors/non-living organisms) and biological (biotic factors/living organisms) components of your community could be affected.
In my community, if a drought took place, an abiotic factor that would be effected is the soil quality. The soil would dry out which would directly affect biotic factors such as plants and bacteria. The bacteria in the soil could dry out and die. The plants wouldn't be able to drink water and would become dehydrated and not have the ability to maintain homeostasis, causing them to wilt and die.
