3. I would say that we do not have to believe everything the media tells us, but we must check and verify that the information provided to us is accurate and reliable; so it is important to watch news in different media to verify the information.
The Media is the bridge between Government and Citizens, it helps in giving voice to the voiceless and make democracy strong.

There are three questions related to media and government, hence we will answer it one by one.
Answer 1:
The Two reasons for reporting similar news by most major media outlets are: firstly the importance of the event, secondly the competiton. If the event directly and indirectly affects the life of masses than most media will carry that reporting. Also the Competition of being first to disclose news or events, creates most often major media outlets to report on similar events.
Answer 2:
Government begin regulating media on high note, that is to make them more human in nature, and respect the privacy of others as well as freedom of speech. But they went too far when they came up with sedition and treason acts, because it creates deep distrust beween media and Executive.
Answer 3:
I would tell them not to go with your ideology when you are reading or watching a news, because your ideology affects your sense of judgment, be impartial and research about the news you have watched or read, before coming to a Judgement
