It is important to use a volumetric pipette and volumetric flasks because they are marked with one trace, they are calibrated and there are very less chance of error in them.
The percentage error of volumetric flask is very low at 0.3%. Volumetric pipette and volumetric flasks are specially designed to give accurate measurements of liquids and make them suitable for preparing standard solutions.
The volumetric pipette has a long and narrow neck which makes it easier to measure.
Graduated cylinders are more accurate then beakers. However they are not used to carry volumetric evaluations for this purpose volumetric tools like flasks and pipettes are used because they are more accurate and exact.
