subsitute y=(-1/2)x+b solve for b (2,-4) so if x=2 then y=-4 so subsitute -4=(-1/2)(2)+b -4=-(2/2)+b -4=-1+b add 1 to both sides -3=b the equuation is y=-1/2x+3
